Oops, and yes, we know: they already have, and busy week in tech on both coasts…

Good morning, All:

On this side we have…Advertising Week, Web 2.0 Expo, OMMA and MIXX in NYC this week.
On this side we have…Techcrunch Disrupt in San Francisco this week.

Speaking of West Coast, we’re changing it up a bit – even more – for “Find-A-Cofounder3.” This time we’re going to get the Silicon Valley VC perspective. Our guest investor is Vishal Shah with GGV Capital, who recently relocated to NYC and has a different take on what investors look for. You’d be surprised, but come hear for yourselves! New date for the event: October 19, and developers get in free. Developers will also be tagged at the event, and we’ll have their contact information available afterwards, to make those elusive potential technical cofounders easier to find. There will be a panel discussion; then we’ll hear from people who’ve successfully found their co-founders through this event. Brought to you by Entrepreneurs Roundtable, StartupOneStop and Cozy Wallet. To register (early bird rate now available as well): http://fac3.eventbrite.com.

Speaking of tech leads, CTO School started yesterday evening and yes, we did tweet it. Gotta start somewhere, and good to get a few pointers. Session 2 is Monday, 10/11: Key Technical Decisions

Talk #1: Creating a technology environment for building a startup
Talk #2: Key Technology Decisions

RSVP here: http://nextny.org/CTO-School-F2010, and pay attention: Remember – FAC3 will be the following week. No worries, there won’t be a quiz. That we know of.

Finally, speaking of the future of technology being in your hands, it literally will be on Thursday. September 30th, DigitalFlashNYC presents POPSCI LIVE – and we have a 15% discount for SOS members. DigitalFlashNYC Productions in conjunction with Popular Science magazine will present this one-of-a-kind event at Location 05 Studios and for the first time in New York. As part of Advertising Week, this event will be the only place that will be providing an interactive forum for you to hold the gadgets you’ve always wanted to touch and handled without being reprimanded by some sales wonk – from phones and cameras to next-gen 3-D televisions – and to ask tough questions about where it’s all headed. Popular Science Deputy Editor Jake Ward will be on hand to discuss these amazing devices in an interactive Q&A about the future of electronics, and what they mean for the future of media. As an added bonus, there will be an interactive sweepstakes where they’ll be giving away an iPad and other prized goodies. RSVP: http://www.digitalflashnyc.com/ SOS discount code: scipop1872

A note on the first query. Mashable did a story on Twisplays today: LED Signs Turn Twitter Streams into News Tickers (http://mashable.com/2010/09/28/twisplays/). Congratulations, Joshua and not to worry – help is on the way…
