Jesus Was a Blackbelt: A Lesson in Moving Forward

Last week, Twitter removed US President Donald Trump from the platform, tweeting that “After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence.” Never mind that Twitter Allows ‘Hang Mike Pence’ To Trend. Violent groups and terrorists have been using the platform for years to coordinate their activities, but we cover technology, not politics, and are more focused on the implications of Twitter’s move – as well as those of tech cabal members Google, who removed Parler from their app store, as did Apple, and Amazon, which eliminated Parler app from its servers.

As actress Emily Ratajkowski warned: If Mark Zuckerberg Can Shut the President Off Facebook, He Can Shut Any of Us Off. History will remind us that no one is truly immune.

There’s no doubt that censorship is alive and well and spreading – unchecked – and it’s not simply to do with politics but also having opinions that are not in lockstep with those of the cabal or the prescribed talking points. Example: Big Tech censors COVID-19 video featuring doctors, YouTube REMOVES viral video of two California doctors questioning stay-at-home orders  and Facebook declares war on anti-vaxxers as it pledges to remove conspiracy theories, never mind that Hundreds (were) Sent to Emergency Room After Getting COVID-19 Vaccines, and “Thousands of people self-reported being unable to work or perform daily activities, or required care from a health care professional, after getting one of the doses from the first tranche,” as the Epoch Times reported.

Always important to stay informed.

We’ve witnessed what Big Tech’s Big Lies can do in their seemingly never-ending quest to consolidate their power, wealth and reach while suppressing entrepreneurship and dissenting opinions. We need only look as far as so-called Net Neutrality to see the falsehoods that were perpetrated and the benefits to the cabal.

And note to self: Internet Speed Up 70% Since Repeal of Net Neutrality.

Why was Parler removed? Simple: it threatens the reach and power of the cabal (Parler No. 1 On App Store A Day After Apple Warns Of Removal). The fact is: it’s no longer your dad’s internet and it will no doubt only get worse from here. As investor and co-maintainer (and founder) of AngelList Naval Ravikant tweeted:

@naval

First they ban accounts. Then, they ban apps. Finally, they will block websites.

Think they won’t block you or in some way try to eat your lunch? How many small businesses has Amazon destroyed by copying successful products that were being sold through the platform?

The tech nation-states about which we’ve long been sounding the alarm finally pulled the trigger.

As the cabal continues their stranglehold on the internet, we will remind you of a few points, entrepreneurs: that at this point, the FAANGs are built on now-aging architecture; that there is an alt-net out there and it’s called the blockchain; blockchain technology is anathema to the business models of the cabal and in fact, App privacy labels show stark contrasts among messaging apps.

Yet, note to self, Twitter loses $5 billion in market value after Trump is permanently barred from the platform, while Facebook sees $34 billion erased from market cap as Trump-ban fallout continues to spook tech investors. There are some things even the cabal simply can’t control.

And lest we’ve forgotten, World Wide Web creator Tim Berners-Lee is working on remaking the digital world, according to the New York Times, with “Pods,” personal online data stores, giving individuals sovereignty of their personal data. “Companies could gain access to a person’s data, with permission, through a secure link for a specific task like processing a loan application or delivering a personalized ad. They could link to and use personal information selectively, but not store it,” according to the NYT’s piece.

Having studied the martial arts, we’ve always been of the opinion that Jesus was a blackbelt, and in martial arts, it’s point/counterpoint: when you deliver your shot then turn your proverbial cheek, your opponent comes at you with all of his/her might and takes the fall. Even the mighty topple.

And as we’ve seen with Parler being booted off AWS, heads up, founders: don’t always simply think bigger: think longer term.

Time to make your move and as always, give it your best shot as we go onward and forward.
